Inheriting Characteristic Of Classical Chinese Architecture – Thean Hou Temple
The main building of The Selangor and Federal Territory Hainan Association, Thean Hou Temple inherits the characteristics of classical Chinese architecture. Its distinguished features include vibrant colours, bold pigmentation and strong contrasts. Emotions of these colours are reflected from the facade of the building, making this Sino-architecture extra colourful and radiant.
The Thean Hou Temple showcases the vibrant hues of Chinese art in its roof decoration, beams, braces, brackets, rafters, ceilings, coffers, and balustrades, highlighting the distinctive coloration of the region. The swallow-tail and dragon-phoenix cresting on the temple ridge embody the classic southern architectural design, while the archway entrance’s straight-line ridge with ridge-biting dragons reflects the typical style of northern architecture.
Chinese and Western Style Registration Room
The Selangor & Federal Territory Hainan Association has created two new marriage registration rooms with different themes for marriage registration ceremonies. The two marriage registration rooms are decorated with Chinese and Western styles respectively, with pink floral wallpaper, creating a romantic atmosphere for the couple, and with the blessing of relatives and friends, they can complete major events in life.
The Chinese-themed marriage registration room follows the oriental classic style, with bright red flowers and golden fans, and the festive golden “囍” character, which is retro and has novel elements. Besides, the Western-themed marriage registration room takes pink artificial flowers as the main axis, with a simple and warm pink photo setting board, and uses silver and white tassels to embellish it, giving a full sense of happiness.
Other than that, two new marriage registration rooms with different themes are used for marriage registration ceremonies, so that couples can have better memories and wish everyone happiness. Lastly, the Marriage Registry of the Association hopes that all new couples who register in the new marriage registration room can have better memories and wish everyone happiness.
