Symbolic Unions, Persekutuan Tiong-Hua Johor Baru’s Special Date Weddings

Persekutuan Tiong-Hua Johor Baru has been a trailblazer in organizing numerous mass marriage registration ceremonies, strategically choosing dates imbued with good omens and special significance for collective unions. Noteworthy occasions include Valentine’s Day, Oriental Valentine’s Day (Lantern Festival), and dates with symbolic meanings like September 9 (Jiujiu) and August 8 (Fafa). Among these, the collective registration ceremonies hosted by the association’s marriage registration department on 9th September 1999, and 1st January 2000, remain topics of conversation and are remembered fondly within the community.

The Persekutuan Tiong-Hua Johor Baru Marriage Registration Department is dedicated to providing services for individuals preparing to embark on the journey of marriage. Their clientele includes couples from various counties in Johor, as well as couples from other states, both nationally and internationally, seeking to formalize their unions through legal marriage registrations. The department warmly welcomes all individuals who adhere to the government’s monogamous marriage registration law for non-Muslims, offering them the opportunity to register and officially become married couples under the association’s auspices.
